Sponsor a Child - Sponsorship Programme
The only difference between a child who has a bright future and one who has not … is opportunity!

At Dr. Graham’s Homes we believe in the transformative power of education. Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive, preparing them fully for their future.
Sadly, many children still live in poverty with little hope for a better life. You can change that. You can change a child’s life.
Won’t you join us in supporting our mission by sponsoring the annual school and boarding fees for needy candidates? Your contribution will have a profound impact on the lives of these children, providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow for them.
OUR HISTORY
Since 1900, Dr. Graham’s Homes has worked tirelessly to break down barriers to education and create a more equitable society with a values-based curriculum and environment. Over the past 120 years, the school has expanded to support children from low-income families in India, particularly children from West Bengal.
For over a century, this initiative has relied solely on the generosity of donors and sponsors, particularly from the USA, UK, and the Commonwealth. For the last 15 years, however, these foreign sponsorships have diminished, leaving a growing number of needy children without the opportunity to enrol, and to diversify and enrich our community and share in our values, work ethic, and holistic learning environment.
THE GLOBAL OGB ASSOCIATION (GO)
Also known as GO, the Global OGB Association, is a non-profit organization composed of alumni of Dr. Graham’s Homes in Kalimpong, West Bengal, dedicated to providing quality education and future opportunities to children. GO is the primary alumni body of Dr.Grahams Homes.
For the last decade, the Association has been instrumental in rebuilding and maintaining the unique Cottage system established by Dr. John Anderson Graham over 100 years ago.

The school receives applications throughout the year after which home visits and interviews are conducted with the children and their families to assess their needs. The number of children the School can accept each year depends directly on the availability of sponsors willing to provide support.
Depending on the level of commitment you are comfortable with, you can:
Choose a child from the existing waitlist: specifying your preference for gender, age, and/or year of class entry.
Nominate a child from your community: if you know a child who would greatly benefit from this opportunity.
Important : if a sponsor nominates a child, not on the School ‘wait list’, the sponsor will be liable for 100% of the sponsorship fee for the term of the child’s education in the School.
Sponsors, are encouraged to write to their sponsored children to foster a supportive relationship. However, to safeguard all parties involved, direct communication between the child and sponsor is not permitted. All communication is via the School Sponsorship Office as specified in the School’s Safeguarding & Protecting People Policy.
